Model who fell to death from 57-storey apartment ‘may have been trying to take selfie’
A model who fell to his death from the 57th storey of an apartment block may have been trying to take a selfie from a balcony, his agents say. Jeff Thomas, 35, was found dead the bottom of the apartment complex on March 8.
Police are investigating the tragic death as a possible suicide, but agent Luli Batista insists Thomas would not have killed himself.
“I just can’t believe it’s true that he intentionally did this,” the representative from Sovereign Talent Group told dailymail.com.
“He may have fallen while he was taking a selfie.”
Thomas’ apartment was located in a 57-floor tower near downtown Miami, Florida.
Batista added that she and Thomas last spoke just a day before his death.
The agent said he was joking about an upcoming audition with her and they had another call scheduled for Friday.
She added: “He couldn’t wait to tell me about his move to Miami. He seemed thrilled and was proud of himself.
“He was happy, motivated, and excited for his next step – just loving life.”

While Thomas’s autopsy has been completed, officials have not officially disclosed a cause of death.
But his brother Skylar Ray Thomas claimed that the model battled addiction and mental health issues.
“As you have followed through the years, Jeff traveled the world and lived life to the fullest,” he said online.
“What you may not know, is Jeff struggled with addiction and mental health challenges, which ultimately led to his tragic passing.”
Cousin Meghan Rae dismissed her relatives claims, telling the Mail: “This was not a suicide.
“To report otherwise is a complete disregard to his character and who he was.”
Thomas was a social media influencer and entrepreneur with more than 120,000 followers on Instagram.
